The IT Graduate Development Program is an entry-level program designed to provide recent college graduates with an opportunity to work in challenging environments while learning how our organization provides complete transport solutions. During 12 intense and exciting months, starting September 2020 you will be given a unique opportunity to gain a holistic view of the Volvo Group and the IT community. It will be kick-start to your career through different assignments or parts of the organization, networking, and professional and personal development. Upon completion of the program, you will continue to work in the position you were recruited in, either in the same delivery or in another assignment. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will work on real projects, side by side with colleagues across the globe. In parallel, you and your fellow graduate program participants will take part in common learning modules designed to help you grow your network, develop as a person and prepare you for your future career in the Volvo Group.
THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES
The Solution Center Volvo Trucks Marketing & Sales is responsible for the solutions and projects covering the Truck Sales Process (TSP) all the way from Marketing and Customer Relationship Management to Sales and Order Management.
The CRM team is responsible for Volvo Trucks CRM solution and customer master data solution, including both one-time and run-time delivery, from new development, roll-out, maintenance and support. The team is in Sweden and China. In Sweden, there are Solution Leaders, Business Analysis and Application Support roles. In China, there are Delivery Leader, IT Architect, Developers and Application Support roles.
YOUR MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As an IT Application Support, you will carry out user support, identify defects and propose changes and improvement activities for an assigned application or group of applications. This job is about assisting users when defects are found. As their technical partner, you will support them in resolving the defects or providing temporary workarounds to keep the application operational when needed. Moreover, you will:
  • Support users by explaining system capabilities, handling questions and solving incidents
  • Identify actual and potential software problems and provide analysis to the maintenance team according to Incident Management principles
  • Respect commitments according to the support part of the Assignment Agreements
  • Acquire basic knowledge of the business processes supported by the application in the area of assignment.
  • Follow recommended Ways of Working with Incident & Knowledge Management systems for reporting and tracking
WHO ARE YOU?
To be successful in this role you will possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • A BSc or MSc in Computer science or IT related
  • Maximum two years previous working experience prior to, or after graduation – can be a plus if it is experience in IT development projects
  • Solid English skills
  • Good communication skills for interfacing with stakeholders with diverse culture background
  • Good thinking and problem solving skill, the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to work effectively in a flexible, changing and challenging environment, manage multiple activities and priorities and work well under pressure
  • A good team player
